Sunflare drops from the raid's final boss — Kil'jaeden in the Sunwell Plateau dungeon. This is a The Burning Crusade raid located on the Isle of Quel'Danas.

• The source is Kil'jaeden, the last boss of the raid. There are no other places to obtain the item.
• There is only one difficulty — The Burning Crusade-era raids are not split into modes.
• The drop chance from a single Kil'jaeden kill is about 24%. This is one of the highest rates among the weapons from this boss.
• The item binds when picked up, so it cannot be passed to another character — you need to farm it on the very hero who wants the appearance.
• The raid has a weekly lockout. You can kill Kil'jaeden and get a chance at the drop once a week per character.

How to reach the raid:

• From Shattrath, use the portal to the Isle of Quel'Danas. The portal is located in a niche next to Exarch Nasuun on the Terrace of Light.
• Once on the island, head down the path to the dungeon entrance — it is located near the landing portal.
• A modern max-level character clears the entire raid up to Kil'jaeden in just a few minutes: the previous bosses are killed almost instantly.
• Keep in mind: after killing any boss, the raid is locked until the weekly reset. So farming Sunflare means one run per week per character, not a series of dungeon resets.
• To get more attempts per week, run the raid on several characters on your account.
