Sunstrike Rifle is a two-handed firearm of epic quality, added to World of Warcraft in the Midnight expansion. It occupies the ranged slot and is intended for hunter specializations that use ranged weapons: Marksmanship and Survival.
The weapon is built in the style of Midnight raid models: strict geometric shapes, a metallic body with golden accents, and a distinctive solar motif in its design. The flavor text references the theme of the forces of the Light fighting against the army of the Void.

How to Get There
The raid is located in the Voidstorm zone. The entrance to The Voidspire is in the central part of the zone.
To access the raid you need a level 90 character and the Midnight expansion.
Alternatives / Recolors
Patch 12.0.5 introduced a recolor — the 
Void-Touched Rifle, done in a dark color scheme infused with the energy of the Void. Its source in current patches is still being confirmed.
There are currently no additional confirmed recolors with the same silhouette. If you are interested in a similar long-barreled look, the full list of transmog rifles is available in the Wowhead database under the firearms section.
Who It Suits Visually
- Hunters with light or golden sets — the rifle's golden accents fit organically into sets dominated by white and yellow metal.
- First-season Midnight sets — the rifle's design was created in line with the The Voidspire raid sets, so it matches the first-tier Midnight transmog perfectly.
- Contrast with dark moon sets — this bright, sunlit weapon creates a deliberate contrast against the purple-and-black Void-style sets.
- Light versus Darkness theme — suitable for looks that play on the Midnight storyline: the confrontation of Alleria Windrunner's forces against the army of Xal'atath.
- Marksmanship and Survival specializations — the rifle is available to both hunter specializations that use ranged weapons.
Tips
To unlock the transmog, you only need to obtain the item on at least one difficulty — the appearance unlocks in your wardrobe right away.
Imperator Averzian is the first boss of the raid, so reaching him is the easiest: you don't need to kill any previous bosses.
The fight is built around a territory-control mechanic: the boss gradually captures cells of an arena laid out on a 3×3 grid. Kill the Void spawns before they cover three cells in a row.
Heroic and Mythic difficulties do not add any new visual differences to the rifle — its appearance is identical on all difficulties, so Normal mode or even Looking for Raid is enough for the transmog.
If the rifle does not drop during the week, bring in your alts: each character has its own weekly chance at loot from the boss.
When the raid becomes outdated in future expansions, legacy mode kicks in: loot from the boss will start dropping much more often, and farming becomes far more productive.
