Sunwell Bardiche is a two-handed polearm, a bardiche with a massive blade shaped like a phoenix wing. The appearance is available to any class that can wield polearms: Warriors, Paladins, Demon Hunters, Druids, Monks, Death Knights, and Hunters.
The model is built around the solar theme of Quel'Thalas: a gold-and-orange blade veined with fire, with a pommel resembling a solar disc. The flavor text emphasizes the connection to the elven capital: "Forged in the Sunforges of Silvermoon, this blessed blade carries within it the fury and radiance of the Sunwell."
The appearance was added in patch 11.1.5 of The War Within expansion as part of a fire-themed summer Trading Post set. It is a purely cosmetic item — it has no combat stats and exists solely for its looks.

The Sunwell Bardiche is sold at the Trading Post for in-game currency — Trader's Tender.
- The appearance costs 245 Trader's Tender.
- The Trading Post is located in Dornogal, Orgrimmar, and Stormwind; the selection is identical at every location.
- Trader's Tender is earned through monthly activity: each month you can claim a set amount of Tender from the chest at the Trading Post, plus extra is awarded for tasks from the Traveler's Log.
- Unspent Tender accumulates on your account, but the reward from the chest must be claimed before the end of the month or it is lost.
- If you cannot buy an item in the current month, you can "freeze" it — drag it into a free slot at the bottom of the list, and it will be saved until the next selection refresh.
- The Trading Post selection refreshes on the first day of each month, and some items return to rotation over time.
This appearance was featured in the fire-themed Trading Post selection for June 2025. If it is not available for purchase right now, it is worth waiting for it to return in rotation.
Who It Suits Visually

Tips
The appearance does not drop from bosses and is not tied to rating — you just need to accumulate Trader's Tender, with no farming for a drop chance.
Tender is earned through monthly tasks, so it is convenient to complete them little by little throughout the month rather than on the last day.
Before buying, make sure the appearance is in the current Trading Post selection: items change every month.
If you are short on Tender by the end of the month, freeze the bardiche in the bottom slot of the list so you don't lose it in the next rotation.
After buying, you can return the item within two hours and get your Tender back if you don't like the look.
The appearance is unlocked for the entire account's appearance collection, so there is no need to buy it again on other characters.
If you like the silhouette but not the color, check the recolors in the "Alternatives" section — they appear at the Trading Post in different months.
You can stockpile Tender in advance: there is no cap on your reserve, and by the right month you will have enough currency for any appearance in the Trading Post selection.
