Get Swift Brewfest Ram mount

Swift Brewfest Ram is an epic ground mount added in patch 2.2.2 of The Burning Crusade expansion. It is a fast war ram that can only be obtained during the annual in-game event Brewfest. The mount drops from the Keg-Shaped Treasure Chest for defeating the festival boss Coren Direbrew in the Blackrock Depths dungeon.

• Rarity — the drop chance is roughly 3–4%, and an attempt is only available once per day per account during Brewfest. This makes the mount truly rare and prestigious
• Limited obtain window — Brewfest takes place once a year, usually from late September to early October (about two weeks). If you get unlucky this year, you'll have to wait for the next one
• A unique model for the Horde — for Horde characters this is one of the few ways to obtain a ram as a mount, which makes it especially valuable
• Available to all characters — once obtained, the mount becomes available on every character of your account
• Feat of Strength — obtaining the mount rewards the achievement Brew of the Year from the "Feats of Strength" category

The Swift Brewfest Ram drops from the Keg-Shaped Treasure Chest you receive for defeating Coren Direbrew. Here is a step-by-step guide.

1. Wait for Brewfest to begin (usually from around September 20th to early October; check the exact dates in the in-game calendar)
2. Open the Dungeon Finder (the "I" key by default) and select the holiday dungeons tab
3. Find "Coren Direbrew" in the list and queue up. This requires a character of the appropriate level
4. Defeat Coren Direbrew together with your group. The fight is easy and takes less than a minute
5. After the victory you will receive a Keg-Shaped Treasure Chest. Open it and check the contents
6. If the Swift Brewfest Ram is inside, use the item to learn the mount

Important: the mount can only drop from the first kill of Coren Direbrew of the day for the entire account. Repeat kills on the same day give an extremely small chance at the loot. To maximize attempts, use several characters — each of them will receive their own Keg-Shaped Treasure Chest on the first kill of the day.

Coren Direbrew is the Brewfest festival boss, located in the Grim Guzzler tavern within the Blackrock Depths dungeon. He belongs to the Dark Iron dwarf clan and holds a grudge against the festival organizers for not being allowed to take part.

How to reach the boss

The most convenient way is to use the Dungeon Finder:

1. Press the "I" key to open the Dungeon Finder interface
2. In the drop-down menu, select the holiday dungeons section
3. Find "Coren Direbrew" and click "Find Group"
4. The system will automatically assemble a group of five players and teleport you straight to the boss

Fight mechanics

The fight against Coren Direbrew is simple and requires no special preparation:

• The boss summons several minions — Dark Iron dwarves
• He periodically throws ale kegs that stun for a short time
• He has no complex mechanics that require dodging or repositioning
• At max level the fight lasts less than a minute

Daily plan

Since the mount drops with a very low chance, it is important to maximize the number of attempts during the festival.

1. Create or prepare as many characters of the appropriate level as possible on a single account
2. Every day during the festival, log in to each character and queue up through the Dungeon Finder
3. Kill Coren Direbrew, open the Keg-Shaped Treasure Chest
4. Repeat on all available characters

How many attempts you have

Brewfest lasts about 16 days. If you have, for example, 10 characters of the appropriate level, that gives you up to 160 attempts in a single festival. With a drop chance of ~3–4%, the probability of getting the mount at least once during the festival becomes quite high.

• 16 attempts (1 character): ~43%
• 80 attempts (5 characters): ~94%
• 160 attempts (10 characters): ~99.7%
