Get Swift Frostsaber mount

Swift Frostsaber is an epic racial ground mount of the night elves, added back in the original World of Warcraft. It is a large saber cat with thick gray-blue fur and a distinctive icy sheen, visually echoing the wild frostsabers of Winterspring.

The mount is sold by Lelanai, a saber trainer. After the destruction of Teldrassil and the subsequent rebirth of the night elves, she relocated to Bel'ameth — the new capital at the foot of the World Tree Amirdrassil on the Dragon Isles. All the other racial night elf sabers are sold next to her: three basic ones and two other epics.

• Maximum ground movement speed — the epic saber accelerates to +100% speed and rides on par with any other epic ground mount. A great option if you enjoy running across the ground in old zones and on battlegrounds
• A unique model for non-night elves — to unlock access to the epic sabers, characters of other Alliance races need to raise their reputation to Revered with Darnassus. For collectors, this is one of the few ways to obtain a racial feline model
• Part of collector achievements — the mount counts toward all the general achievements for the number of mounts collected
• Account-wide collection — as soon as one character buys the mount, it automatically appears in the collection of all your Alliance characters
• Classic aesthetic — the model has not been redrawn since Classic, and it remains one of the few ground mounts that move at a walk rather than a gallop. It looks great with night elf, druid, and rogue transmog sets

For a night elf character, the mount is available immediately, as soon as you reach level 40 and learn Apprentice Riding. There is no reputation to grind — the race grants access automatically.

1. Get to Stormwind by any convenient means
2. Open the capital map and find the portal to Bel'ameth in the Mage Tower, or use the mage Teleport: Bel'ameth spell
3. Step through the portal into Bel'ameth
4. Head to coordinates 51.4, 66.0 — there, among the saber pens at the foot of Amirdrassil, stands Lelanai
5. Open the dialogue, select the purchase, and grab the Reins of the Swift Frostsaber for 10 gold
6. Activate the reins — the mount will appear in your collection and become available to all your Alliance characters

Any Alliance character can buy an epic saber from Lelanai if they raise their reputation to Revered with Darnassus. After the destruction of Teldrassil, night elf reputation is easiest to farm through repeatable sources and the tabard.

1. Buy the Darnassus Tabard from Moon Priestess Lasara. The quartermaster is located in the Stormwind Embassy, alongside the other Alliance capital representatives
2. Put on the tabard and head into any heroic dungeon starting from the Wrath of the Lich King era. Killing enemies while wearing the tabard grants Darnassus reputation
3. One full heroic Legion or Battle for Azeroth dungeon run grants roughly 1,000–1,500 reputation while the tabard is equipped
4. In parallel, pick up every quest you come across in night elf zones (Teldrassil before the burning, Darkshore, Ashenvale, Feralas). Many old quests still award Darnassus reputation
5. Push the value up to Revered — that is 42,000 from Friendly
6. Head to Lelanai in Bel'ameth. Once you reach Revered, her full inventory opens: four basic and three epic sabers, including the Reins of the Swift Frostsaber
7. Buy the mount for 10 gold and activate it. It will appear in the collection of all Alliance characters on the account

• Which character to buy it on? The fastest is a level 40 night elf with Apprentice Riding learned. If you don't have a night elf, look at an Alliance alt you already run through old dungeons for transmog and mounts — Darnassus reputation accumulates alongside your usual farming
• How long does Revered with Darnassus take? Without a tabard and bonuses — from several weeks of random activities. With a tabard and dedicated farming of heroic Legion and Battle for Azeroth dungeons — about 4-6 hours
• Can you get the mount through the auction house? No. The reins bind on pickup; they cannot be resold or traded. Only a direct purchase from Lelanai
• Do you need a night elf to activate the reins? No. After purchase, the mount binds to the account and becomes available to all Alliance characters. The reins can be activated by anyone
• Does the mount work for the Horde? No. This is a racial Alliance mount; the Horde can neither buy nor use it
