Taeshalach

Taeshalach was forged from one of the two shards of Gorshalach, which split into two pieces. When Gorshalach shattered, Sargeras discarded one of the shards because it became useless to him. Aggramar found the shard and reforged it into Taeshalach.

During Aggramar’s duel with Sargeras, their swords collided, triggering an explosion of fel and arcane magic. As a result, Taeshalach was partially destroyed: one half remained metallic, while the other transformed into pure flame.

How to obtain Taeshalach

Taeshalach can be looted from the boss Aggramar in the Antorus, the Burning Throne raid. The drop chance is 0.1 %.

To access this raid, travel to Argus. Once there, make your way to the Antoran Wastes.

To unlock teleportation to Argus, you need to complete a short quest chain on the Broken Isles. For more details on unlocking Argus and the raid, see our guide.

This equipment item can be obtained by any character capable of wielding two‑handed weapons, as well as Hunters:

Paladin
Warrior
Death Knight
Hunter

Notes

  • Even though the weapon can drop for a Hunter, this class cannot transmogrify it, as Hunters currently have no way to equip two‑handed swords.

  • The sword could be purchased during the Legion: Remix event for 30 000 Bronze Event Coins. However, the event has only run once so far, and there is no information about a potential rerun.

  • The sword can drop on any raid difficulty, and its appearance will not change. You can run all four difficulty levels each week to increase your chances of obtaining it.
