Get Terokk's Shadowstaff

Terokk's Shadowstaff is an epic two-handed staff from The Burning Crusade expansion. It is a caster weapon: the model is dark, with a finial of curved bone blades and a purple glow, kept in the gloomy palette of the arakkoa. The silhouette echoes the theme of ravens and the cult of Terokk, so the staff fits naturally with dark themed looks.

By its stats this is a weapon with intellect and critical strike rating, meaning it was originally intended for mages, warlocks, priests, shamans, and damage druids. Today the item is valued first and foremost as transmog: at the current level cap of 90 in the Midnight expansion its combat figures no longer matter, and players hunt it for the appearance alone.

The staff drops from the dungeon's final boss — Talon King Ikiss. The boss is located in Sethekk Halls, a dungeon set in the Terokkar Forest zone in Outland.

• The drop chance from Talon King Ikiss is about 10 percent, so several runs are usually required.

• At the current level 90 the heroic Sethekk Halls is cleared solo without trouble by any class.

Talon King Ikiss behaves like a mage: he teleports around the hall and then unleashes a powerful burst of energy. Solo at max level this mechanic is not dangerous, but back in The Burning Crusade era the group hid behind the columns, breaking the line of sight.
