Uhn'agh Fash, the Darkest Betrayal — Transmog Set Guide

Uhn'agh Fash, the Darkest Betrayal is an epic one-handed dagger added to World of Warcraft with the release of the Cataclysm expansion (patch 4.0.3). It is a short blade with a curved edge in dark, almost inky tones characteristic of the weapons of the Twilight's Hammer cult. The model nods to the aesthetic of the old gods: a rough grip, a jagged edge and sinister dark metal make the dagger a recognizable silhouette among the other raid weapons of that era.

The dagger belongs to the class of agile melee weapons — it carries agility, stamina, critical strike rating and haste, so it was originally intended for rogues, as well as other specializations that use daggers. Today its stats are outdated, and the item's value lies entirely in its appearance for transmogrification.

One distinct detail is the description. Instead of the usual flavor text, the item is engraved with a phrase in the language of the old gods, Shath'Yar: "Uvil gag erh'ongg w'ssh." This reinforces the dagger's connection to the lore of the Twilight's Hammer cultists and their master.

The dagger drops from Cho'gall — the final boss of the The Bastion of Twilight raid on normal difficulty. A two-headed ogre-mage and leader of the Twilight's Hammer cult, he is located on the lowest tier of the raid.

• The drop chance from the normal version is around 12%.
• A heroic version of the dagger also exists — the same model, with a drop chance of about 13.7%. Both versions are visually identical for transmog.
• The item becomes soulbound on pickup, so it cannot be passed to another character — you have to farm it on the character that needs the appearance.
• There is no attempt limit: the raid resets once a week, and each run can yield loot from Cho'gall.

The raid itself sits in the Twilight Citadel in the southwest of the Twilight Highlands zone, atop a tall spire roughly at coordinates 34, 78. The entrance is a large blue swirling portal at the peak of the tower. You will need a flying mount to reach it.

The route to the raid:

• Open the map and travel to the Twilight Highlands through the portal in your faction's capital or via the flight point network.
• Fly to the southwest corner of the zone, to the Twilight Citadel above Loch Modan.
• Climb to the top of the spire and enter the blue portal.

Cho'gall is the last of the four raid bosses on normal difficulty. Along the way you encounter Halfus Wyrmbreaker, the dragons Valiona and Theralion, and the Elementium Monstrosity. On heroic difficulty, after Cho'gall dies the floor beneath him collapses, opening a hidden hall with an additional boss — Sinestra.

Farming the dagger solo is no trouble. A modern max-level character wipes out every boss in the Bastion of Twilight in one or two hits, and the legacy loot rule guarantees raid loot drops even when entering alone. For the rule to trigger reliably, a character must outpace the raid by at least two expansions in level — for Cataclysm-era content this has long been met automatically.

• The blade's dark palette fits well into looks built around the theme of the old gods and the Twilight's Hammer cult — sets with purple, black and twilight tones.
• The dagger harmonizes with leather and cloth sets of the Cataclysm era, especially raid armor from the Bastion of Twilight and Blackwing Descent.
• It stands out in light, "holy" looks — a debatable but expressive choice for a character with a dual appearance.
• It suits the concept of a stealthy assassin or a servant of a dark cult: the jagged edge and gloomy metal reinforce a sinister silhouette.
• It pairs well with the Blade of the Witching Hour — two dark daggers from the same raid create a cohesive look.
