Uncorrupted Voidwing — How to Get the Mount

Uncorrupted Voidwing is an epic flying mount resembling a Void dragon with dark purple scales and ultramarine wings. The mount is a whelpling of Vexiona, cleansed by Wrathion from N'Zoth's corruption.

The mount's description reads: "This whelpling of Vexiona, cleansed by Wrathion, belongs to a brood with a shattered past and an uncertain future."

The mount was added in Patch 8.3.0 (January 14, 2020) during the Battle for Azeroth expansion. It was a reward for the Ahead of the Curve: N'Zoth the Corruptor achievement and was granted through the quest Lost Flight after defeating N'Zoth on Heroic or Mythic difficulty.

Important: the mount was removed from the game in Patch 9.0.2 (November 17, 2020) with the release of the Shadowlands expansion and is no longer obtainable. It is not sold on the Black Market Auction House and does not appear from any other sources.

• Prestigious mount that confirms you cleared the final Battle for Azeroth raid on Heroic difficulty while it was current
• Tied to the lore of N'Zoth and Vexiona — a unique story of saving a dragon whelpling

The mount is no longer obtainable. Below is the method by which it could be obtained before Patch 9.0.2.

The "Lost Flight" Quest

1. Enter the raid Ny'alotha, the Waking City on Heroic or Mythic difficulty
2. Clear all wings and defeat the final boss — N'Zoth the Corruptor
3. After the kill you received the item "Vexiona's Whelpling," which started the quest Lost Flight
4. The quest required you to bring the whelpling to Wrathion in the Heart of Azeroth (the Chamber of Heart)
5. Wrathion cleansed the dragon of Void corruption and gave it to you — the reward was the Uncorrupted Voidwing mount

You also needed to earn the Ahead of the Curve: N'Zoth the Corruptor achievement, which was automatically granted upon killing N'Zoth on Heroic difficulty or higher.

The entrance to Ny'alotha is located in one of two zones, alternating each week. The entrance appears as a hovering obelisk.

Uldum (Kalimdor)

1. Open the portal room in your faction's capital city:
   • Stormwind (Alliance): portal to Uldum among the Cataclysm portals
   • Orgrimmar (Horde): portal to Uldum in the portal room
2. The raid entrance is located at the Vir'naal Dam at coordinates 54.0, 43.0

Vale of Eternal Blossoms (Pandaria)

1. Use the portal to the Jade Forest from the portal room of your capital city
2. Fly southwest to the Vale of Eternal Blossoms
3. The raid entrance is located above the Whitepetal Lake at coordinates 39.0, 43.0

Important: Phasing

To see the raid entrance, you must be in the Patch 8.3 phase (with Black Empire assaults). If the entrance is not visible:

• In Uldum, speak with Zidormi in Ramkahen — she will switch you to the correct phase
• In the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, find Zidormi on the upper balcony of the Mogu'shan Palace

On some characters, starting the Heart of Azeroth quest chain (obtaining the Heart of Azeroth from Magni Bronzebeard) may be required for correct phasing.

Macro Coordinates

Ny'alotha contains 12 bosses, split across three wings. N'Zoth is the final boss.

Raid Wings

Vision of Destiny (Bosses 1-3):

• Wrathion, the Black Emperor
• Maut
• Prophet Skitra

Horrors of the Void (Bosses 4-8):

• Dark Inquisitor Xanesh
• Vexiona (the mount's mother)
• Ra-den the Despoiled
• The Hivemind
• Shad'har the Insatiable

End of Madness (Bosses 9-12):

• Drest'agath
• Il'gynoth, Corruption Reborn
• Carapace of N'Zoth
• N'Zoth the Corruptor

At level 80, all bosses can be soloed without any difficulty. A full clear takes about 15-25 minutes.

Since the mount is no longer obtainable, this section is provided purely for historical reference.

• Guaranteed drop. Unlike most raid mounts, the Uncorrupted Voidwing was guaranteed to every raid member who defeated N'Zoth on Heroic difficulty or higher. No special farming was required.
• The only restriction was that the quest was available only during the Battle for Azeroth expansion's active period (from Patch 8.3.0 to Patch 9.0.2).
• Group content. During the content's relevance, Heroic N'Zoth required a group of 10-30 players with an item level of roughly 445 or higher. All raid members needed the Ashjra'kamas, Shroud of Resolve cloak to counter the sanity mechanic.
• An alternative was community services that organized mass Heroic N'Zoth carries for those who hadn't obtained the mount on their own.
