Ursol's Claw — Transmog Set Guide

Ursol's Claw is a two-handed staff that originates from The Burning Crusade expansion. Its head is shaped like a massive bear paw with light-brown fur and extended claws, which makes the model instantly recognizable among other staves of that era. The name refers to the ancient guardian Ursol — one of Azeroth's bear demigods, who together with his brother Ursoc was revered by the furbolg tribes. According to legend, Ursol was a skilled carver, and the look of the staff fits this theme of natural, beastly power well.

Back in its day this was a solid weapon for guardian druids and hunters in early The Burning Crusade, but today the staff is valued first and foremost as a transmog. The bear paw on the head makes it a natural choice for druid and shaman looks tied to the wilds.

Ursol's Claw is obtained in the Hellfire Ramparts dungeon — the first wing of the citadel on the Hellfire Peninsula in Outland. Technically the item is listed in the loot of Vazruden the Herald, the final foe of this wing.

• Vazruden appears mounted on the dragon Nazan and dismounts once the beast is wounded enough.
• After Vazruden and Nazan die, the Reinforced Fel Iron Chest appears in the hall, and the staff drops from it rather than falling to the ground from the boss himself.
