TBC Classic Fury Warrior Guide (Phase 3)
About the Class
Fury Warrior is a plate-wearing melee fighter who dual-wields weapons. It is the warrior's best DPS specialization. Compared to Classic, warriors have generally been weakened, but with good gear and the right group, Fury remains one of the top options for area and multi-target damage.
Strengths
- Very high multi-target damage.
- Unlimited resource: rage builds from damage dealt and taken.
Weaknesses
- Extremely gear-dependent.
- Weak in the early part of the expansion.
- Brings only damage to the raid.

Talents
Ability Priority
Battle Shout or
Commanding Shout — keep the one you're responsible for up the entire fight
Demoralizing Shout — heavily cuts enemies' physical damage
Bloodrage — keep it up constantly and refresh in the last seconds so you don't lose the stacks
Bloodthirst — on cooldown; during the execute phase — if 30 rage has built up between
Execute
Execute — on a target below 20% health
Whirlwind — on excess rage
Heroic Strike — at rage above 60, when your main abilities are on cooldown
Hamstring — only when rage is capped and there's nothing else to press
Multi-Target Priority
Sweeping Strikes — on cooldown, when you can hit multiple targets
Whirlwind
Bloodthirst
Execute — on a target below 20% health
Cleave — if it hits multiple targets and you have enough rage
On AoE, a warrior pulls threat very easily, so let the tanks build threat before you begin.
Important Abilities:
Sweeping Strikes — the main multi-target cooldown
Last Stand — a temporary pool of health in case of heavy damage
Insane Strength Potion and
Haste Potion — pair them with your other cooldowns
Mighty Rage Potion — a sharp burst of rage
Rage management is an important part of playing a warrior. Know the cost of your abilities, keep the rage bar in view, and think a couple of buttons ahead. Before big cooldowns it's better to stockpile rage: skipping one
Heroic Strike or
Whirlwind for a reserve under cooldowns is usually more profitable. But you also mustn't let it hit the cap.

Best Professions
Blacksmithing
Crafted weapons hold up until the late stages of the expansion, so the profession is recommended for anyone who wants to squeeze out maximum damage. It also provides
Adamantite Weightstone,
Adamantite Sharpening Stone, and
Greater Rune of Warding.
Engineering
There's no benefit for the main spec, but the profession provides a lot of useful things:
Rocket Boots Xtreme, explosives, and stamina trinkets for tanking —
Goblin Rocket Launcher and
Gnomish Poultryizer hold up for almost all of TBC.
Enchanting
Provides
Enchant Ring - Stats — a total of +8 to all stats: a bit of health, attack power, and critical strike rating.
Jewelcrafting
Provides
Crimson Sun and
Stone of Blades — gems slightly better than the regular ones.
Leatherworking
A decent option if there's no one else in your group to bring
Drums of Battle. Crafted gear at the start is also handy, but it's quickly replaced.
Alchemy
Provides
Oil of Immolation — free AoE damage.
