Windrunner Spire

This is a new dungeon introduced in the Midnight expansion, which reveals some history from Sylvanas Windrunner’s past.

Boss’s Main Abilities

  • Swirling Flame
Emberdawn places a mark on a random player, dealing damage over 6 seconds. When the effect ends, the mark explodes, leaving a fiery zone at the player’s location. This zone deals damage to anyone standing in it and knocks players back.

  • Scorching Beak
The boss deals massive physical damage to its target and applies a bleed effect lasting 8 seconds.

  • Burning Gust
Emberdawn creates a wind current that pushes players back for 16 seconds and deals damage every second. During Burning Gust, Flame Twisters appear in random areas. These deal massive damage to anyone who enters them and stun players for 2 seconds.

Strategy for Battling Emberdawn

The main mechanic involves moving the fiery zones created by Swirling Flame so players have room to maneuver during Burning Gust.

We recommend placing these zones in one area of the map and staying in another to avoid being pushed into the fiery zone.

  • Tanks
Use defensive abilities promptly when Scorching Beak is cast. Minimize damage intake so your healer can more easily restore your health during the bleed effect.

  • Healers
Focus on maintaining players’ health during Burning Gust and restoring the tank’s health after Scorching Beak.

If your class can remove bleeds, we recommend using this ability, as the bleed deals very high damage per second.

  • DPS
Move the fiery zones from Swirling Flame so they don’t obstruct other players and provide space for movement during the boss’s other abilities.

Derelict Duo

Boss’s Main Abilities

  • Vile Splatter
Zacap places a mark on a random player, dealing damage every 1.5 seconds. When the mark expires, it leaves a bile zone. Players entering this zone take damage every 1.5 seconds, with damage increasing by 100% each second spent inside.

  • Shadow Arrow
Kalis selects a random target and deals Shadow damage. The spell takes 2.5 seconds to cast and can be interrupted.

  • Bone Chop
Zacap deals massive strikes every 0.75 seconds for 3 seconds to its target.

  • Hook Sweep
When the boss reaches 100% energy, a special mark is placed on a player. After 7 seconds, Zacap throws a hook toward the marked player, hitting the first target in its path. If the hook hits any player, the boss immediately uses Bone Chop on them.

  • Debilitating Screech
Simultaneously with Hook Sweep, Kalis begins channeling a spell that deals Shadow damage to all players every 2 seconds. This damage increases by 30% every 2 seconds. The ability cannot be interrupted — except by the hook from Zacap’s Hook Sweep.

Strategy for Battling The Aged Duo

The core mechanic involves interrupting Debilitating Screech with Hook Sweep. Failure to do so will result in party wipe.

The marked player must position themselves so only Kalis stands between them and Zacap. Otherwise, the hook may hit another player or miss entirely — both scenarios lead to a party wipe.

  • Tanks
Bone Chop deals massive damage. Use defensive abilities or ask the group for help to avoid lethal damage. Since this damage is physical, abilities that increase armor or grant physical damage reduction/immunity can also help.

  • Healers
Assist the tank during Bone Chop. Failure to heal and mitigate this damage promptly will lead to the tank’s and party’s swift demise.

  • DPS
Proper positioning during the mark phase is crucial for the Hook Sweep mechanic. DPS must position themselves correctly and interrupt Debilitating Screech.

Also, move Vile Splatter marks away from the group to create space for other mechanics.

Commander Kroluk

Boss’s Main Abilities

  • Desperate Leap
The boss selects the farthest target and jumps to it, dealing damage and applying a bleed. All targets within a 12 m radius are affected. The boss performs three such jumps.

  • Terrifying Shout
Kroluk curses all players with a fear mark. For 5 seconds, players must run toward each other. Failure to do so applies a 6‑second fear effect and deals Shadow damage every second.

Players don’t need to gather in one spot. To remove the debuff, simply approach the nearest ally and stand close. Remember to spread out afterward to avoid Desperate Leap damage.

  • Frenzy
The boss unleashes a series of massive strikes on its target. This ability cannot be interrupted.

  • Inspiring Roar
When the boss’s health reaches 66% and 33%, he summons a group of mobs. The boss then gains the Stalwart Defense buff, reducing all damage taken by 99% until all mobs are killed.

  • Blade Vortex
While mobs exist, the boss selects one target and pursues them, dealing massive physical damage to anyone in its path. Every 12 seconds, the boss switches to the farthest target and continues pursuit.

Strategy for Battling Commander Kroluk

The boss’s core mechanic involves proper positioning of all group members. Two mechanics require players to either group up or spread out. Failure to follow these mechanics leads to massive damage and potential death.

Positioning is also critical during Blade Vortex. If you’re the target, avoid leading the boss into other group members. If another player is targeted, stay clear of the boss’s path. During this phase, the boss takes no damage — focus on the summoned mobs. The faster they’re killed, the sooner the chase ends and you can resume damaging the boss.

  • Tanks
Frenzy deals massive damage in a short time. Use defensive abilities to mitigate it.

After Inspiring Roar summons mobs, they’ll attack nearby targets. Your task is to group these mobs together so the party can kill them quickly.

  • Healers
Desperate Leap applies a strong bleed to three targets. Keep their health near maximum. If your class can remove bleeds, do so to ease healing for other group members.

Also assist the tank with Frenzy. The damage is massive, and the tank’s defensive abilities may not suffice.

  • DPS
Maintain proper positioning during mechanics requiring movement.
Focus on quickly eliminating mobs summoned by Inspiring Roar. The faster they die, the sooner you can damage the boss.

Restless Heart

Boss’s Main Abilities

  • Arrow Rain
The boss fires a volley of arrows across an area. Upon landing, each arrow creates a small white zone. Stepping into this zone deals damage and launches the player upward.

  • Hurricane Strike
The boss’s target takes massive physical damage and is knocked back. This ability applies a debuff that increases all incoming physical damage by 250%.
This debuff cannot be removed. The only way to dispel it is by entering a zone created by Arrow Rain.

  • Raging Pool of Souls
A spirit afflicts players, dealing Nature damage every second. The only way to remove this effect is by entering a zone created by Arrow Rain.

  • Storm of Arrows
The Restless Heart selects a random player and deals cone-shaped damage in their direction every 0.5 seconds.

The cone locks onto the player and follows them. It’s impossible to avoid this damage, so we recommend standing still to prevent hitting other group members. Use defensive abilities to reduce incoming damage.

  • Rising Wind
When the boss reaches 100% energy, they leap from their current location to the opposite end of the arena, creating an expanding circle from the jump point. Players who touch the circle’s edge are stunned for 5 seconds and take massive Nature damage.
You can only bypass the circle’s boundary by entering a zone created by Arrow Rain.

Strategy for Battling the Restless Heart

The zones created by Arrow Rain allow players to remove all persistent negative effects from the boss and handle the Rising Wind mechanic. It’s important not to waste these zones unnecessarily, ensuring all group members can use them when needed.

  • Tanks
Position the boss so that the knockback from Hurricane Strike doesn’t push you toward Arrow Rain zones.

If you receive the debuff from Hurricane Strike, be sure to remove it by entering an Arrow Rain zone — otherwise, the next hit will almost certainly kill you.

  • Healers
The Raging Pool of Souls and Storm of Arrows mechanics deal heavy damage. Focus on healing affected targets promptly and support them with defensive abilities.

  • DPS
Storm of Arrows deals heavy damage and locks onto its target. Use defensive abilities when this spell is active to ease the healer’s burden and avoid taking lethal damage.
