The blade drops from the dungeon's third boss — Drahga Shadowburner. He is a courier of the Twilight's Hammer, an elite humanoid you will meet near the end of the clear. According to Wowhead, the chance of the dagger dropping from him on Normal difficulty is around 7.4% — meaning you will, on average, need to repeat the run a few times.

For farming transmog, the easiest approach is to go in solo at max level — the dungeon's bosses have long ceased to be a threat to a leveled character.

An additional route is the Timewalking Dungeon Journey event. During weeks when the Cataclysm dungeon version of the event is active, Grim Batol enters a special queue, and the dagger can likewise drop from Drahga Shadowburner.
