WoW: Forever Name Reservation

In WoW: Forever, you can claim character names before the game launches. Early name reservation runs from October 27 to November 3, 2026.

Name reservation is available to buyers of the Heroic or Epic digital bundle, as well as the WoW: Forever Collector’s Edition. Access is tied to the specific WoW account used for the purchase.

Names go to whoever claims them first: your preferred name is not guaranteed.

You can create up to three characters total across all rule sets. For example, after creating two characters in PvP, you will have one slot left for Normal or Roleplay.

This limit applies only during early name reservation.

1. Open Battle.net.
2. Select World of Warcraft from the game list.
3. In the game-version menu above the Play button, select World of Warcraft: Forever and install the client.
4. Once name reservation opens, launch the game and choose a rule set: PvE, PvP, Hardcore, or Roleplay.
5. Create up to three characters, entering the names you want.
