WoW: Forever Changes — October 1, 2026
Level and Experience
The beta level cap has been raised from 20 to 30. Bonus experience for dungeon quests has been reduced by 50%. This reduction applies to the bonus on top of the normal reward: base quest XP is unchanged.
Dungeons
The beta now includes the Digsite: Wetlands dungeon for characters around levels 26–31. Two more dungeons have also opened:
Halls of the Thane, Ruins of Lordaeron, Ragefire Chasm, Wailing Caverns, The Deadmines, Shadowfang Keep, The Stockade, Blackfathom Deeps, Gnomeregan, Razorfen Kraul, and Scarlet Monastery remain available.
Quests and Creature Spawns
Creature and quest-object respawns have been sped up in Hillsbrad Foothills, Ashenvale, Wetlands, Duskwood, and Thousand Needles.
Fixed bugs that let some dungeon quests be handed to other players along with the quest item or caused duplicate items to be awarded. Also fixed an issue that prevented escort quests from starting when the quest log was full.
Items and Equipment
Several quest rewards now have the correct item level. Some early caster rewards have been adjusted. Ammunition consumption has been fixed for certain bows and guns.
Weapon oils have been returned to their Classic values:
Brilliant Wizard Oil is unchanged. Wands no longer gain bonus damage from the character's spell power.
When sold to a vendor, an item that is Bind on Equip and whose appearance has not yet been collected now becomes soulbound. It previously became account-bound. Weapon visual sizes and the transformation effect from one Horde fish dish have also been fixed.
Professions
Several Blacksmithing and Leatherworking recipes that were missing from dungeon loot due to a bug can now drop. The number of Poor Copper Veins in starting areas has been reduced. Skinned creatures now despawn again, so each creature can be skinned only once.
Crafted Common and Uncommon Enchanting wands now sell to vendors for one copper.
Player-versus-Player Combat and Honor
The cost of most PvP items and Honor point upgrade tokens has increased by about 50%. The Honor cap has been raised from 15,000 to 25,000.
Resting by the Campfire
While waiting for the campfire buff, you can now craft items, cast spells, and buff allies. These actions no longer reset the wait. You can also receive the effect while sitting, lying down, or using certain emotes.
Campfires no longer damage characters below level 5. Characters with less than 90% health take less damage from campfires. The tooltip and icon for one Rest effect have been updated.
Barbershops and Interface
Barbershops have been added in Darnassus, and the one in Thunder Bluff is now open for business. City guards can direct you to them.
Controller interface tooltips have been added, including options for configuring the party and pet action bars.
Talent Reset
In the beta, resetting talents temporarily costs one silver if the character has not changed talents for a while. The next reset costs more, but after one hour the price drops back to one silver.
