Azure Lightblade — Transmog Set Guide

Azure Lightblade is a rare-quality one-handed dagger added to World of Warcraft in The Burning Crusade expansion. It is a compact blade with a cold blue palette: the edge shimmers with azure, and a glowing gem of the same shade is set into the hilt. The model is clean and not overloaded with detail, so the dagger looks great in the hands of characters playing spellcasters and other "magical" specializations.

Stat-wise this is an intellect weapon, and historically it could be worn by casters — priests, mages and warlocks. The dagger is unavailable to rogues, so for them it remains merely a visual reference that cannot be unlocked through this particular item. Today the blade has zero combat value, and it is interesting purely as a transmog piece — a calm blue dagger for caster looks.

The Azure Lightblade is granted as a reward for the quest to kill the gronn named Durn the Hungerer — one of Gruul's sons. The quest exists in two versions, one per faction, but both lead to the same target and offer the same set of rewards.

• The Horde picks up WANTED: Durn the Hungerer from the Mag'har: the quest is given by Warden Bullrok in Garadar, in the north of Nagrand.
• The Alliance takes the WANTED: Durn the Hungerer version from the Kurenai: the quest is given by Warden Moi'bff Jill in Telaar.
• The goal is the same — track down and kill Durn the Hungerer. The gronn roams in a wide circle in the Spirit Fields in the southwest of Nagrand, around the sacred mountain of Oshu'gun.
• Durn is a large solo target. It was once a group quest, but at max level he can be killed solo without any trouble.
• The reward is granted once per character: you cannot turn the quest in again and take a second blade.

A landmark coordinate for finding the gronn is the area of the Spirit Fields:

Durn moves along a circular route, so once you reach the indicated point, give him time to appear along the path or walk along the patrol until you meet him.

The Azure Lightblade has no recolor variations sharing the same name. However, the same quest offers a choice of two more items with their own models — worth picking up on separate characters if you want more than just the dagger:
