Overview

Гизарма темного пастыря

Game iconBlack Shepherd's Guisarme is a two-handed polearm from The War Within expansion. It is a pole weapon with a long blade of dark chitinous texture, kept in a black-and-purple palette with veins of otherworldly glow. The model references the nerubian and Void theme, so the polearm fits organically into grim and "spider-like" looks.

As a combat weapon the polearm is no longer at its peak, and players take it for its striking, gloomy model. Its dark styling blends well into the sets of death knights, demon hunters, and warriors building a "shadow" look.

Source

Black Shepherd's Guisarme drops in The Dawnbreaker dungeon — a dungeon from The War Within expansion.

  • The polearm drops from Anub'ikkaj, one of the bosses of this dungeon.
  • The drop chance is low — around 1%, so many runs are usually required.
  • The dungeon can be cleared on Normal, Heroic, and Mythic difficulties, as well as in Mythic+ format; for transmog any mode where this boss is available will do.
  • Mythic+ offers faster run speeds, so it is more convenient to farm there, gathering the dungeon in a group.
  • Loot from a specific boss can be obtained without a strict weekly cap — repeat runs are available, which matters given the low drop chance.

The only source of this model is Anub'ikkaj in The Dawnbreaker dungeon. There are no other ways to obtain this exact item.

Who It Suits Visually

  • It harmonizes with the dark chitinous sets of nerubian theme from The War Within.
  • It suits the looks of death knights and demon hunters in a black-and-purple "shadow" palette.
  • It contrasts with bright golden armor — a debatable yet expressive technique for a "fallen" fighter look.
  • It complements sets styled after the Void and the underground world, thanks to the otherworldly glow of the blade.

Tips

1

Farm the dungeon in Mythic+ mode — runs are faster, and farming with a low chance goes more actively.

2

Account for the roughly 1% chance: plan for many repeat runs on this boss.

3

Assemble a group with a tank capable of quickly leading the route to the needed boss.

4

The appearance unlocks account-wide, so the obtained polearm can immediately be worn on any character.

5

If the goal is transmog only, choose the difficulty you clear fastest: the model is identical on all modes.

6

Run the dungeon alongside other season goals — that way farming the polearm will not take up separate time.

Started playing back in Pandaria, when the pandaren were still a novelty. Got stuck on Monk because it's the only class where you don't get dizzy after a dash. Tries to manage both tanking and kicking enemies in the face.
