Overview

Винтовка кровавого часового

Game iconBloodwarder's Rifle is a two-handed ranged firearm added to World of Warcraft with The Burning Crusade expansion. It is a compact gun from the classic "Outland" era: a dark metal barrel, brass details and a slightly curved stock. The model is often seen among weapons from the Outland period, so its look fits easily into sets of the same era.

The item is of rare quality and was intended for hunters and other classes that use guns as ranged weapons. At max level the item's stats are irrelevant — today it is collected solely for its transmogrification appearance.

Source

The Bloodwarder's Rifle is a quest reward, not a mob drop. The source is reliable: by completing the task you are guaranteed to receive the weapon as one of the reward items.

  • The weapon is granted for the quest "Akama's Promise" — the final task in Akama's chain in Shadowmoon Valley.
  • The quest is given by Akama in Shadowmoon Valley; the task requires you to deliver the Medallion of Karabor to A'dal in Shattrath.
  • For completing it you also gain reputation with the Sha'tar and the Ashtongue Deathsworn factions.
  • The item becomes soulbound on pickup, so it cannot be sent to another character — the appearance must be unlocked on the one who completes the quest.
  • To reach the final task, you need to go through the preceding Akama chain in Shadowmoon Valley.

Who It Suits Visually

  • It fits "Outland" sets from The Burning Crusade era — dark plate and mail with brass accents pair well with the metal of the barrel.
  • It harmonizes with hunter sets in a brown-and-steel palette, where the gun should look like a working tool rather than a ceremonial weapon.
  • It contrasts with bright elven and holy sets — for those a more elegant model is a better choice.
  • It looks appropriate in mercenary and scout looks, where a stern, utilitarian silhouette is valued.

Tips

1

The appearance unlocks only after you actually receive the item into your bag — it is not enough to simply complete the quest, you must choose exactly this gun in the reward window.

2

If you want to collect several reward appearances from this quest at once, you will have to run the chain on different characters: a single run grants only one item.

3

At the modern max level the entire Akama chain is soloed without difficulty — the mobs of Shadowmoon Valley have long since posed no threat.

4

The gun is picked up by hunters for transmogrification, so if you play this very class — the appearance unlocks on the same character that wears the weapon.

5

Akama's coordinates in Shadowmoon Valley are around 66-71, 44-45 on the zone map; from there it is convenient to start looking for the right link in the chain.

6

Before turning in the quest, make sure you have a free slot for a ranged weapon, otherwise you will have to retrieve the reward from the mailbox.

Started playing back in Pandaria, when the pandaren were still a novelty. Got stuck on Monk because it's the only class where you don't get dizzy after a dash. Tries to manage both tanking and kicking enemies in the face.
