Overview

Молот Драконьей длани

Game iconDrakefist Hammer is a one-handed blunt weapon added to World of Warcraft with The Burning Crusade expansion. It is a massive mace with a head shaped like a clenched, clawed fist and a dark metal finish — a recognizable model from the blacksmith weapon set of the Outland era.

The item's main value is historical and collectible. Back in its day, it was one of the best crafted weapons for warriors and death knights, and the first step of the famous upgrade chain that led to more powerful versions of the same hammer. Today it is collected for its striking model and as a monument to the blacksmithing craft of The Burning Crusade.

Source

The hammer does not drop from bosses — it is crafted by a blacksmith. To craft it you need:

  • Blacksmithing of level 350.
  • The Weaponsmith mastery specialization — a narrow branch of blacksmithing dedicated specifically to hammers.
  • The recipe sold by Kradu Grimblade in the Lower City of Shattrath.

Reagents for crafting:

The finished hammer becomes soulbound on pickup, so you cannot order it "on the side" — you will either have to level blacksmithing and the required specialization yourself, or find a character who already has them and bring the reagents. The recipe was removed from sale in Cataclysm, but blacksmiths who managed to learn it can still craft the hammer.

Who It Suits Visually

  • It harmonizes with heavy plate armor in dark and bronze tones — the massive mace looks natural in warrior and death knight sets.
  • It fits Outland-era and demonic-themed looks thanks to the clawed head and grim finish.
  • It pairs well with sets that reference dragons or the orcish culture of Draenor.
  • It contrasts with bright paladin armor: a dark "fist" against golden armor creates a sharp yet cohesive accent.

Tips

1

Level your blacksmithing to 350 in advance and take the Weaponsmith mastery specialization — without it the hammer recipe is unavailable.

2

The recipe is bought from Kradu Grimblade in the Lower City of Shattrath; return there for the recipes of the next steps in the chain.

3

The primal elements and bars are easiest to gather ahead of time: primal elements are farmed in the zones of Outland or bought at the auction house.

4

The finished hammer is soulbound, so either craft it on the needed character or bring the reagents to someone who already has the specialization.

5

If you want to assemble the entire chain, do not sell the intermediate versions — each next one is crafted from the previous.

6

After crafting, the appearance is instantly unlocked in the collection and available to all characters on the account via transmogrification.

Started playing back in Pandaria, when the pandaren were still a novelty. Got stuck on Monk because it's the only class where you don't get dizzy after a dash. Tries to manage both tanking and kicking enemies in the face.
