TBC Classic Feral Druid (Tank) Guide (Phase 3)
About the Class
Feral Druid (Tank) is a melee tank in leather armor. It tanks in
Dire Bear Form and uses two-handed weapons: staves, blunt, and polearms. It is one of the strongest tanks in TBC thanks to its huge health pool and armor. On top of that, the group gains the
Leader of the Pack aura — 5% to physical critical strike chance. When tanking isn't needed, the druid brings
Innervate and
Rebirth to the raid.
Strengths
- Fast leveling and strong solo play: stealth, big burst damage, and self-healing.
- The best combination of tank and DPS roles: both the talents and most of the items work for both roles.
- Powerful support for physical damage dealers through
Leader of the Pack and Improved Leader of the Pack.
Weaknesses
- Survivability depends heavily on gear: in weak items, staying alive is hard.
- Poor scaling: your numbers are tied to in-form attack power and energy, which don't grow from secondary stats.
- High skill demands: you need to track periodic effects, know how to tank, and master powershifting.

Engineering
Goblin Rocket Launcher and

Exclusive ring enchants work all through TBC. Take the striking enchant first, then the stats one later.

Drums of Battle.
Jewelcrafting
At Sunwell Plateau it unlocks the

A good source of gold thanks to transmutes and new specializations in elixirs, potions, and transmutation.
