Emerald Ripper — Transmog Set Guide

Emerald Ripper is an epic one-handed dagger added to World of Warcraft in The Burning Crusade expansion. It is a short blade with a rich green coloring: the edge resembles a curved claw, while the cold tint of the metal echoes the emerald theme of the name. Despite its modest item level by modern standards, the dagger's appearance remains popular with transmog collectors — the clean shape and pure green color fit nature-themed and "poisonous" looks well.

The dagger can be worn by any class that can use daggers: rogue, mage, warlock, priest, druid, shaman, and demon hunter. For transmogrification only the appearance itself matters — once you have obtained the item at least once, its look is saved to your account-wide appearance collection.

The Emerald Ripper drops from Moroes — the tower's steward and the second named boss of the Karazhan raid. Karazhan is an abandoned tower in Deadwind Pass in the south of the Eastern Kingdoms.

Key farming facts:

• Karazhan is a 10-player raid from The Burning Crusade era that is easily soloed at current character level.
• No attunement is required: the "Master's Key" quest chain was removed from the game, so you can enter right away.
• The drop chance of the Emerald Ripper from Moroes is around 16–17%, which is fairly generous for a transmog item.
• Moroes can be killed once a week on each character, so farming several alts speeds up obtaining the look you want.
• The boss is second in the raid's order — you only need to clear Attumen the Huntsman near the entrance to reach him.

To reach Karazhan, head to Deadwind Pass — the zone borders Duskwood and the Swamp of Sorrows. The tower's entrance is at its base, coordinates for the /way command:

Moroes is found in the banquet hall on the tower's upper floors. In combat he is accompanied by four elite undead servants — at modern character level the whole group is wiped out in seconds, and no special tactics are required.

Malchazeen drops from Prince Malchezaar — the raid's final boss — with a chance of around 17% and is styled in a dark red palette that contrasts with the green Ripper. Blade of the Unrequited can be obtained in the Opera Hall when the "Romeo and Juliet" scene comes up; this is a random event, so the opera variant you need does not appear on every run.

• Druid and shaman looks focused on a natural, woodland theme — the green blade supports an "emerald" palette.
• Rogue sets with a poisonous or toxic motif, where the cold green tint reads as toxicity.
