Enlightened Botanist's Machete is a one-handed sword shaped like a broad machete. The item was added to World of Warcraft with the Shadowlands expansion and the Zereth Mortis zone in patch 9.2. The blade is designed in the nature-mechanical aesthetic of the Automa: a curved, broad blade with a greenish tint and organic patterns that looks at once like a gardening tool and a weapon.

The machete suits specializations that wield one-handed swords. Thanks to its unusual silhouette and green palette, the item fits well into the looks of gardeners, druid-like characters, and the theme of Zereth Mortis.

The machete drops from the rare enemy Gluttonous Overgrowth in the Zereth Mortis zone. This rare mob roams the Catalyst Gardens — the north-eastern part of the zone.

• Gluttonous Overgrowth does not appear on its own: to summon it, you need to activate five bulging roots scattered around the area. After that, the rare mob becomes vulnerable to attacks.

No quests or reputation are required to access the mob itself — you just need to unlock Zereth Mortis through the patch 9.2 story campaign.
