Entropic-Shadow Staff is a two-handed caster staff added in The War Within with the patch 11.2 update. The staff itself is intended for classes that wield staves as caster weapons — mages, warlocks, priests, shamans, druids, monks, and evokers.

The staff is handed out as a reward for completing the quest Sealing the Shadows. This is part of the patch 11.2 story line in The War Within, so the minimum level to take part is 80, and access opens up as you progress through the expansion's campaign.

To complete the quest, you need to gather five units of Saturated Entropic Core. The cores drop from Dark Watch fighters in Tazavesh, the Veiled Market — these are ethereal enemies patrolling the trade city. After turning in all five cores, you receive your choice of one weapon from the entropic shadow set, including this staff.
