Ghoulfang — Transmog Set Guide

Ghoulfang is a two-handed sword from the very first content set of World of Warcraft. It is a broad blade with a serrated edge and grim bone trim on the hilt, finished in a dark steel palette. The model captures the undead theme perfectly and works well for sinister looks.

The item has a detail that is rare for a weapon of this level: on hit it can apply the Shadow Bolt effect, dealing shadow magic damage. In modern combat this is purely a visual bonus, but it is exactly what gives the blade its signature "necromantic" flavor. The weapon suits every specialization that wields two-handed swords: warriors, paladins, and death knights.

Ghoulfang drops from the rare enemy Leprithus — a level 30 undead that appears in Westfall.

• The drop chance is low — around 1.7%, so you may have to kill the mob several times.
• The item becomes soulbound on equip, so the appearance is credited to whoever equips it.
• Leprithus is a rare mob with a limited spawn timer: after being killed it does not respawn immediately, and other players often camp its spawn point.
• Leprithus roams near a small fenced family graveyard with coffins, to the southwest of the mine in Westfall. The spawn point is roughly around the coordinates /way 41.4 29.2.

Westfall is an Alliance starting zone, but any character can travel there to farm the appearance: at modern level the enemies here pose no threat. Horde players will find it easiest to fly from the nearest hub to Stormwind and head into the zone from there.
