Get Greatstaff of Infinite Knowledge

Greatstaff of Infinite Knowledge is a two-handed staff from the reward weapon set for the Challenge Mode of the Warlords of Draenor expansion. It is a massive headpiece with a blue crystal floating within a frame and carved metal arcs, kept in a cold blue-steel palette. The model resembles a magical focusing rod and looks great in the hands of spellcasters.

The item belongs to the cosmetic appearances: its item level is 1, and the tooltip notes a «decorative effect». This does not mean the piece is unimplemented — it was a real reward and adds a transmog illusion to your warband collection. It could only be earned by flawlessly clearing the dungeons in Challenge Mode, so the staff remains a status marker of a seasoned player from the Draenor era.

The appearance was unlocked for the «Challenge Warlord: Gold» achievement — you had to clear all of the Warlords of Draenor dungeons in Challenge Mode with a gold rating. This required a coordinated group, precise knowledge of the routes and careful time management, so the reward was highly valued.

• After earning the achievement, the weapons were sold by special vendors in the capital garrison towns: on the Alliance side — in Stormshield, on the Horde side — in Warspear.
• Each appearance cost 1000 gold.
• The appearances were bound to the account through the appearance collection, so they could be unlocked on one character and used on all of them.
• The clear counted regardless of the group composition, but the gold rating demanded high survivability and speed.

With the release of Legion, the Draenor Challenge Mode was retired, and with it the chance to earn this achievement disappeared. Right now neither the appearance itself nor the «Challenge Warlord: Gold» achievement can be obtained — the staff is available only to those who managed to collect the reward back in the day.
