Overview

Greatsword of the Sin'dorei

Greatsword of the Sin'dorei is an epic-quality two-handed sword added to World of Warcraft with the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. It is an elegant blade in true blood elf style: an elongated golden-crimson edge, an ornate guard, and a hilt with the distinctive Sin'dorei aesthetic and Silvermoon motifs.

A curious detail: this is the very sword wielded by Regent Lord Lor'themar Theron, and he holds it in a single hand. Since the item belongs to older content, today it is sought primarily for its graceful appearance in transmog. The sword is available only to Horde characters.

Source

The Greatsword of the Sin'dorei is purchased from the Argent Tournament vendors for Champion's Seals. For Horde characters it is sold by the Silvermoon quartermaster Trellis Morningsun and the quartermasters of other Horde cities at the Argent Tournament Grounds.

  • The sword costs 25 Champion's Seals.
  • The item is available only to the Horde — Alliance characters cannot buy it.
  • No rating or achievements are required to purchase it — only the right currency.
  • Seals have no weekly cap, so with enough currency on hand the sword can be bought right away.

Where to Get Champion's Seals

Champion's Seals are awarded for the Argent Tournament daily quests at the Argent Tournament Grounds in the Icecrown zone in Northrend. It is convenient to get there through the portal from Dalaran.

  • The main source of Seals is the daily jousting matches on tournament mounts and the related quests.
  • To save up 25 Seals you will need several days of completing the tournament's daily quests.
  • Seals are bound to the character, so you must accumulate them on the hero who will buy the sword.

Who It Suits Visually

  • Ideal for blood elf looks and sets in Silvermoon's golden-crimson palette.
  • Pairs well with light and elegant armor, emphasizing a noble silhouette.
  • Looks great in blood elf paladin and death knight sets thanks to the matching color scheme.
  • Contrasts with dark and rugged armor, adding an aristocratic accent to the outfit.

Tips

1

Two-handed swords are worn by warriors, death knights, and paladins, so the look will come in handy for several Horde classes at once.

2

Check your Champion's Seal supply in advance — if you have fewer than 25, you will need several days of the tournament's daily quests.

3

Combine the purchase with other tournament rewards: Seals also buy mounts, pets, and other gear appearances.

4

Remember that the sword is available only to the Horde — you will not be able to buy it on an Alliance character.

5

The daily tournament quests are repetitive, so it is convenient to do them in parallel on several characters if you want to speed up currency accumulation.

6

If you are already a champion of all factions, additional daily quests open up that accelerate the influx of Seals.
