Overview

Разрушитель преисподней

Hellreaver is a two-handed polearm (halberd) of rare quality, added to World of Warcraft with The Burning Crusade expansion. It has the classic "infernal" silhouette: a massive blade on a long shaft with demonic spikes in the dark-red palette of the Fel, echoing the architecture of Hellfire Citadel.

Its item level is long irrelevant for combat, so today the halberd is valued purely as a transmog. This polearm suits every class that can wield halberds: warriors, paladins, death knights, demon hunters, druids, and monks. The model remains one of the most recognizable "demonic" halberds of the early expansions.

Source

The halberd drops in the Hellfire Ramparts dungeon — the first wing of Hellfire Citadel on the Hellfire Peninsula (Outland). This is The Burning Crusade content, which has long been soloable on any class at current level.

  • The weapon sits in a chest that appears after defeating the dungeon's penultimate boss — Vazruden and his dragon Nazan.
  • The chance to get the halberd from the chest is about 16%, so farming may take several runs.
  • The dungeon has no limit on the number of clears per day, so you can grind the appearance back-to-back without weekly locks.
  • The run up to Vazruden is short: the path to the boss platform takes a few minutes.

A Good Visual Fit

  • Harmonizes with demonic and "infernal" sets in a red-and-black palette — it is a thematic weapon of the Fel.
  • Suits plate sets for death knights and warriors with dark accents, where a long polearm is needed.
  • Fits demon hunter looks thanks to the demonic aesthetic of the blade.
  • Contrasts with bright paladin armor — a debatable but striking combination for a dramatic look.

Tips

1

The dungeon is soloable on any class at current level, so a dedicated group is not needed.

2

For fast farming, choose a class with high mobility and area damage: the faster you reach Vazruden, the more runs per hour.

3

Don't forget to open the chest after the fight — the halberd is inside it, not dropped by the boss itself.

4

Because of the roughly 16% chance, plan for several consecutive runs; you can reset the dungeon right after opening the chest.

5

The halberd is available to all classes that wield polearms, so you can farm the appearance on any convenient character.

6

The dungeon entrance is in Hellfire Citadel on the Hellfire Peninsula — the easiest way to get there is through the portal to Outland.
