The weapon suits classes that wield two-handed axes: warriors, paladins, and death knights. Its item level is 80 and the required level is 65, so it is convenient to grab the model while leveling in Outland.

The main advantage for collectors is that this axe does not drop randomly but is guaranteed as a quest reward. This means you can obtain the model purposefully in a single run, without hours of farming.

Honed Voidaxe is one of the rewards for the quest The Ring of Blood: The Final Challenge in Nagrand (Outland).

• The quest is given by Gurgthock at the Laughing Skull ruins in the north of Nagrand.
• "The Ring of Blood" is a short arena chain: a series of fights against champions, ending with a duel against Mogor, a hero of the Warmaul clan.
• The reward is given once per character: after the victory you need to speak with the troll attendant Vraskk and choose an item.

Since "The Ring of Blood" offers several rewards of different types to choose from, it is important to pick exactly the axe when turning in the quest if you want this model. If you have already completed the chain and took a different reward, the quest cannot be given again — in that case the model will remain unavailable on that character.

At the maximum level 90 of the current Midnight expansion, the entire chain is easily completed solo: the arena fighters have long ceased to be a threat.
