Hulking Handaxe — Transmog Set Guide

Hulking Handaxe is a one-handed battle axe from the Midnight expansion. It is an agility weapon: it suits classes that use one-handed agility axes — rogues, shamans, monks, and demon hunters.

The model follows the dungeon aesthetic of the new Voidstorm zone: a rough, massive blade with a dark finish and an angular silhouette, fitting for fights in the Void's gladiatorial arena. This is current Midnight loot, so the axe can be obtained as a fully functional weapon and its appearance added to your collection right away.

Unlike outdated trophies, this axe is taken not only for its looks but also as a combat weapon for the current season — the appearance unlocks along the way, simply by acquiring the item itself.

The axe drops in the Voidscar Arena dungeon from the second boss — Atroxus.

• The Voidscar Arena is located in the northern part of the Voidstorm zone — the new location of the Midnight expansion.
• In the first season of Midnight the dungeon is available in difficulties up to Heroic and is not yet part of the Mythic+ rotation, so farming the axe is most convenient on Heroic difficulty.
• The loot drops from the boss's shared reward pool, so a single run may yield a different item instead.

As current Midnight content, the dungeon is run in a group of five players through the Dungeon Finder. No separate attunement chain is required to enter — only max level and access to the Voidstorm zone.

Atroxus is a huge, starved beast kept caged by the arena master. Beyond its size, its poison is dangerous, so during the fight you should watch for poisonous abilities and summoned minions. For appearance farming the fight is not very hard: in a group of suitable level, Atroxus is killed without trouble.
