Impaler's Graceful Lance — Transmog Set Guide
Overview

The
Impaler's Graceful Lance is an epic-quality two-handed polearm added to World of Warcraft in the Shadowlands expansion alongside the Zereth Mortis zone. Despite the word "graceful" in its name, its silhouette is sinister: an elongated gilded haft is crowned by a massive blade in the style of the Maw's minions, with dark veining and a cold metallic sheen.
This is an appearance from a weapon set designed in the unified style of late Shadowlands rewards. The model is large and reads well from a distance, which makes the lance a standout element of any look for classes that wield polearms.
The item's stats have long been irrelevant, so today it is obtained purely for the look. The appearance unlocks account-wide as soon as you meet the required condition.
Source
The lance is part of the "Arsenal: Weapons of Glorious Domination" reward set, granted for the "Dune Dominance" achievement. Everything takes place in the Zereth Mortis zone from the Shadowlands expansion.
To earn the achievement, you must defeat three rare enemies that spawn in the Endless Sands area at the center of the zone:
All three share a single spawn point and appear in turn, so only one of them drops in per run:
When a rare enemy appears, a message pops up in chat saying the northern sands are stirring, and a marker lights up on the map. After defeating all three, the achievement is credited, and the entire arsenal, including the lance, unlocks in your appearance collection immediately.
Who It Suits Visually
- Looks themed around the Maw and the Shadowlands — the lance is built on the same dark-gold palette as Cypher gear and Shadowlands rewards.
- Pairs well with plate sets featuring gold and black accents — for example, Shadowlands tier sets in the same color scheme.
- Suits classes that wield polearms: warriors, death knights, paladins, druids, and demon hunters.
- Harmonizes with the rest of that same arsenal — the lance, maces, and shield come together as a cohesive weapon set.
- Contrasts with light and nature-themed sets: against green or white armor, the dark blade looks deliberately grim.
Tips
1
Before you start hunting, check whether the Zereth Mortis zone is available to you — entry requires the Shadowlands story campaign.
2
The rare enemies share a single spawn point, so keep it in view and don't wander far between attempts.
3
Watch for the chat message about the shifting sands — it warns you that the next rare enemy is about to appear.
4
Use rare-enemy alert addons so you don't miss the spawn you need, especially on low-population realms.
5
These rares are elite, so at older levels it's better to go in a group, while at max level they go down quickly solo.
6
The achievement and the entire arsenal are account-bound, so there's no need to repeat the task on other characters.
7
If the rare that spawned isn't the one you're missing, kill it anyway — progress toward the achievement is tracked for each of the three.
