Overview

Inescapable Reach

Game iconInescapable Reach is an epic two-handed polearm added to World of Warcraft with the release of the Midnight expansion. It is a massive battle halberd with a broad blade and dark Void finish: the haft is wrapped in crystalline growths, while the edge itself shimmers with the purple-black glow of the Void. The model fits the overall aesthetic of the Voidspire raid, so it looks especially fitting on characters with a dark Void or demonic-themed look.

The weapon is meant for specializations that use agility and polearms — druids, hunters, and monks. The in-game description sums up the item succinctly: "No prey can escape its reach."

Source

Inescapable Reach drops in the The Voidspire raid — the first raid of Season 1 of the Midnight expansion. The raid itself is located in the Void Storm zone.

  • Source — Vorasius, the second boss of the Voidspire raid.
  • The weapon drops on Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic difficulties; the appearance model is identical across all difficulties.
  • The item level scales with difficulty: roughly 237 on Raid Finder, 250 on Normal, 263 on Heroic, and 276 on Mythic.
  • Raid entrance coordinates: /way #2405 45.05 64.71.
  • The minimum level to enter is 90, the current Midnight cap.

Killing this boss on Heroic difficulty also awards the achievement Vorasius (Heroic Voidspire), which is handy for tracking your progress while farming the appearance.

Who It Suits Visually

  • Pairs well with Void- and shadow-palette sets — the blade's purple-black glow echoes the Season 1 Midnight armor.
  • Complements dark leather and mail sets for druids, hunters, and monks who use agility.
  • Looks great in demonic or otherworldly-themed outfits thanks to the crystalline growths on the haft.
  • Contrasts with light and golden sets — a debatable combination, but one that puts a bold accent on the weapon.
  • Fits "Void-spawn hunter" concepts thanks to the aggressive shape of the blade.

Tips

1

The most reliable way to get the appearance is to kill Vorasius every week on any available difficulty, since the model does not depend on item level.

2

If your gear rating is still low, start with Raid Finder: the appearance there is the same as on Mythic.

3

Polearms are used by druids, hunters, and monks, so it's more convenient to farm the drop on a character of one of these classes — the weapon will also suit them statwise.

4

In a single raid run you can also pick up other items from the second boss, so don't skip it during your weekly clear.

5

Mythic difficulty does not grant a unique appearance for this weapon, so going for it solely for the transmog is unnecessary.

6

Progress on the Heroic kill is easy to verify through the Vorasius (Heroic Voidspire) achievement.

7

The appearance is saved to your collection after the first acquisition and becomes available to all characters on the account who can wield polearms.
