Journey's End — Transmog Set Guide

Journey's End is an epic two-handed staff that hails from the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. It is a massive shaft topped with a horse-head finial and a cold blue-white glow running along the handle.

For the modern player the item's value is purely cosmetic: its stats have long been obsolete, and the staff is taken for its appearance for transmogrification. This model can be worn by every class that uses staves: mages, priests, warlocks, druids, shamans and monks.

The staff drops from the final boss of the Naxxramas raid — Kel'Thuzad.

• Journey's End drops from Kel'Thuzad in the 25-player raid mode.
• The item level 226 version is tied specifically to 25-player Naxxramas. The 10-player version has a lower item level.
• The drop chance is about 7%, so the staff may not drop in a single visit.
• There is a weekly lockout on the boss kill per character, so farming stretches out across several raid resets.

The Naxxramas raid itself hovers above Dragonblight — it is a flying necropolis in the central part of Northrend. You can enter directly from the Dragonblight zone by climbing up to the eastern part of the area.

For a max-level character in Midnight the raid is cleared solo without trouble: both the regular packs of undead and Kel'Thuzad himself pose no threat, so the entire farm boils down to a weekly run up to the last boss.

• It fits dark undead-themed outfits — for example, the plate and cloth sets from Icecrown Citadel with a similar blue-icy palette.
• It harmonizes with cold blue-white and silvery-frosty looks thanks to the glowing finial.
• It looks great in a necromancer or dark priest concept thanks to the crystal on the finial and the overall Scourge-style silhouette.
• It contrasts with warm golden-fiery sets — a debatable pairing, but one that can deliver a bright accent.
