Lesser Staff of the Spire is a two-handed staff of uncommon quality dating back to the classic era of World of Warcraft. It is a simple wooden shaft with a finial, finished in calm brown tones with no effects or glow. The model is deliberately unassuming: the staff looks like the walking stick of a wandering priest or a novice mage rather than a battle relic.

In terms of stats it is an intellect weapon with a bonus to stamina, meaning it was originally intended for low-level priests, mages, warlocks, druids and shamans. Today its stats play no role at all — the item's value is purely cosmetic.

An important detail for collectors: the appearance was removed from the game in patch 4.0.3a along with the rework of the Redridge Mountains, but it was later brought back in patch 10.1.7 of the Dragonflight expansion. The staff can now be obtained again and added to your appearance collection.

The Lesser Staff of the Spire drops from regular mobs in the Redridge Mountains — an Alliance starting zone to the southeast of Elwynn Forest.

• The main source is the Blackrock Warden, an elite humanoid of levels 23-30. It is found in the eastern part of the Redridge Mountains, around the Blackrock orc camps (roughly coordinates 65-70, 60-72).
• The drop chance is very low — about 0.08%, so farming requires patience and many repeated kills.
• The item is bind on equip, so a looted copy can be put up on the auction house or passed to a character on your own account.
• There is no limit on the number of attempts — the mobs respawn quickly, and you can kill them as much as you like.

Because of the low drop chance, it makes more sense not to farm the staff deliberately for hours, but to drop by Redridge in passing or check the in-game auction house — the item sometimes appears there for a token price.

The Lesser Staff of the Spire has no named recolors — it is a standalone classic model. If you need a similar minimalist wooden silhouette without effects, take a look at the simple staves from starting zones and low-level dungeons: many of them use the same basic shaft geometry with different finials. The easiest way to find a replacement is through the appearances tab in the game itself, comparing models by silhouette.

• Cloth sets in an earthy palette: brown wood pairs well with beige, sandy and dark green robes.
• Herbalist druid or hermit shaman concepts, where the deliberate simplicity of the gear matters.
• Low-level "roleplay" sets, in which an ornate weapon would clash with the image of a wanderer or apprentice.
