Lionheart Blade is an epic two-handed sword added to World of Warcraft in The Burning Crusade expansion. It is a knightly claymore with a broad ornamented blade and a golden lion's head on the guard — a noble, heraldic model in the spirit of Alliance weaponcraft. The silhouette is massive and solemn, with no flashy glow, so the sword fits classic plate looks well.

This is a two-handed sword for Strength with Agility, so it is worn for transmog by warriors, paladins, and death knights. Originally the item was crafted by blacksmiths and belonged to an upgrade chain of three blades, where each successive one was forged on the basis of the previous.

The original Lionheart Blade is a Blacksmithing item from the era of The Burning Crusade, the first step of the upgrade chain: Lionheart Blade, then Lionheart Champion, and finally Lionheart Executioner.

• Crafting it required Blacksmithing with the narrow specialization in swords, so only a Weaponsmith blacksmith could wield the sword.
• In the modern game the original recipe can no longer be learned: blacksmith weapon specializations were removed back in the Cataclysm expansion.
• The appearance was brought back with the "Reborn" line: the sword Lionheart Blade, Reborn grants the same look and is available these days.
• The recipe Plans: Lionheart Blade, Reborn is learned by blacksmiths in Pandaria, and forging it requires Pandarian reagents.
