Lionheart Champion — Transmog Set Guide

Lionheart Champion is an epic two-handed sword added to World of Warcraft in The Burning Crusade expansion. It is a massive, noble blade adorned with lion heraldry: a broad blade, a gilded crossguard, and a pommel shaped like a lion's head. Its style makes it a classic "knightly" weapon that looks excellent in Alliance paladin and warrior transmog sets.

Its item level stats have long since become outdated, so today the sword is interesting purely as a transmog. It is the second step of the famous Lionheart blacksmithing chain — between the Lionheart Blade and the final Lionheart Executioner.

The sword does not drop from bosses — it is crafted by a blacksmith.

• Profession — Blacksmithing with the Weaponsmith specialization (the Master Swordsmith branch), requiring The Burning Crusade-era Blacksmithing skill of 375.
• The recipe is learned from the corresponding Blacksmithing plans; without the Swordsmith specialization you cannot craft or use the item.
• Reagents: Lionheart Blade (the previous step of the chain), Primal Nether in a quantity of 8, and Primal Might in a quantity of 2.
• The finished sword becomes soulbound on acquisition.

The essence of the chain: first the blacksmith crafts the Lionheart Blade, then "upgrades" it into the Champion, and after that into the Lionheart Executioner. Each step consumes the previous sword as a reagent, so you can only assemble the entire appearance line by progressing through the chain sequentially.
