Overview

Loa's Blade-Blessing

Game iconLoa's Blade-Blessing is a Darkspear troll-themed two-handed sword bound to your warband. It is not really an ordinary weapon but rather a cosmetic illusion: when used, the item adds the sword's appearance to your warband's collection. The broad blade is decorated with bone inlays and totemic carvings in the spirit of tribal troll weaponry.

The sword ties into the theme of the loa — the patron spirits of the Darkspear. Its look echoes the tribe's heritage set, rendered in earthy tones with bone and leather accents. It is a great pick for themed troll looks on a two-handed weapon.

The item arrived in the Dragonflight expansion alongside the Darkspear troll heritage questline (patch 10.2.7) and is used exclusively for transmogrification.

Source

Loa's Blade-Blessing is granted for completing the final quest of the Darkspear troll heritage questline — De Darkspear Loa.

  • The heritage questline opens for a Darkspear troll character upon reaching the required level and reputation.
  • The final quest requires you to destroy Mwe'zala's idol and set up Jani's idol in its place.
  • The reward is granted once and adds the sword's appearance to your warband's collection.
  • The appearance is available to characters level 60 and above.
  • Only Darkspear trolls can wear this illusion — the appearance is unavailable on other races.

The key restriction: the quest can only be completed by a Darkspear troll, so members of other races cannot obtain this sword.

Who It Suits Visually

  • Designed to match the Darkspear heritage set — worn with it as a single tribal look.
  • Harmonizes with armor in an earthy bone-and-leather palette thanks to similar materials.
  • Suits themed troll builds for the warrior, hunter, and death knight.
  • Contrasts with bright metallic plate, staying a rough, tribal accent.
  • Fits looks tied to the loa and the spiritual motifs of the Darkspear.

Tips

1

Build up reputation and complete the earlier heritage quests in advance — the final quest only opens at the end of the chain.

2

The appearance is bound to your warband, so once obtained it is available to all eligible characters on the account.

3

Remember that only Darkspear trolls can wear the illusion — on other races the sword will not appear in the wardrobe.

4

Complete the entire chain: in addition to the sword you receive the full Darkspear heritage set.

5

Use the sword as a two-handed pairing for the heritage set to finish off the tribal look.

6

The illusion requires level 60, so apply it on a character of the appropriate level.
