Luminous Lampspire — Transmog Set Guide
Overview

Luminous Lampspire is a two-handed staff added to World of Warcraft with The War Within expansion. It is a cosmetic weapon earned from delve rewards: a tall wooden shaft is crowned by a forged lantern, inside which a suspended crystal burns with a steady, warm light. The model is built on the lantern-staff icon and reads as an "adventurer's travel lamp" — it thematically echoes the very spirit of delves, where the hero descends into the darkness of Khaz Algar's underground with a source of light in hand.
The item is of uncommon quality, and as a real weapon it has long been irrelevant. Today people take it purely for its appearance: the lantern staff suits mages, druids, priests, shamans, warlocks, monks and evokers well — anyone who wields two-handed staves. The warm glow of the lantern makes the model stand out even in the gloom of dungeons and in dark locations.
Source
Luminous Lampspire is a reward from the delve system of The War Within expansion. It is sold by the cosmetics vendor Reno Jackson at the delvers' headquarters.
- In The War Within the delvers' headquarters was located in Dornogal, the capital of Khaz Algar.
- Originally delve cosmetics were bought for Undercoin — a seasonal currency awarded for completing bountiful delves.
- In the Midnight expansion the same rewards from Reno Jackson became available for Resonance Crystals as well, so you can catch up on the collection even without previously hoarded delve currency.
- The approximate price of the staff is around 3,500 Resonance Crystals; the exact cost should be checked with the vendor, since prices and currencies were revised between seasons.
The purchase is one-time: after buying it, the appearance is added to your transmogrification collection and becomes available to all characters on the account. There is no random drop chance — it is a guaranteed vendor purchase.
Who it suits visually
- It fits traveler and dungeon-explorer themes: the lantern on the cap directly references the delve theme of Khaz Algar.
- It harmonizes with warm golden-brown leather and cloth sets dominated by shades of wood and brass.
- It looks striking against dark "shadow" sets of a warlock or Shadow priest — the burning lantern becomes the single bright accent of the look.
- It is fitting for roleplay looks of a wandering mage or healer who needs a staff with a light source rather than a battle artifact.
Tips
First check whether the appearance is already unlocked: the cosmetic master copy may have reached you from delve rewards automatically.
Before buying, verify the current currency and price with Reno Jackson — between seasons they changed from Undercoin to Resonance Crystals.
Resonance Crystals accumulate from almost any activity in the expansion, so dedicated farming just for the staff is usually unnecessary.
The appearance is account-wide, so you will not have to buy it again on other characters.
The lantern gives the model a constant glow — this is handy for screenshots in dark locations and dungeons.
The staff is two-handed, so try it on specializations that wield two-handed staves rather than a one-handed weapon with a focus.

Started playing back in Pandaria, when the pandaren were still a novelty. Got stuck on Monk because it's the only class where you don't get dizzy after a dash. Tries to manage both tanking and kicking enemies in the face.
