Mass of McGowan — Transmog Set Guide

Mass of McGowan is a one-handed blunt mace of rare quality dating back to the vanilla era of World of Warcraft. Statistically it is a plain melee weapon with a bonus to strength and stamina, but today it is valued above all as an appearance for transmogrification.

Visually the mace is understated: a short haft and a massive head in a calm gray-steel palette without flashy effects. Such a restrained silhouette fits neatly into "classic" warrior looks, where excessive glow is unnecessary.

The item level is 13, and equipping it requires character level 24. At the current max level these values are irrelevant — the stats are outdated, and only the model is of interest.

The mace drops from enemies in the Zul'Farrak dungeon, located in the Tanaris zone.

• The drop comes from the Zul'Farrak Dead Hero — an undead that appears during events inside the dungeon.
• The drop chance is low and variable, so the mace may not fall in a single run.
• The drop is not limited by a weekly lockout: the dungeon can be re-entered and cleared repeatedly.

This mace has no named color variations (recolors) under the same name. If you need a restrained one-handed mace with a similar silhouette, look to plain blunt maces from content of the same era.
