Might of Menethil — Transmog Set Guide
Overview

Might of Menethil is an epic two-handed mace from the classic Naxxramas raid. It has melee stats: Strength, Stamina, and critical strike rating, which is why it was once considered one of the best two-handed weapons for Warriors, Paladins, and Enhancement Shamans.
Visually, it is a massive pommeled hammer with a heavy faceted striking head on a long shaft. The name references House Menethil, the royal dynasty of Lordaeron to which Arthas belonged. Today the item is valued mainly as an appearance: the imposing silhouette of a classic two-handed mace is instantly recognizable and suits knight and paladin looks.
Source
The mace drops in the Naxxramas raid.
- The source is Kel'Thuzad, the final boss of the raid. He is the final objective, and you must clear all wings of the dungeon to reach him.
- The item binds on pickup, so it cannot be passed to another character — you need to farm it on the hero who wants the appearance.
- The drop chance is low, so several runs may be required.
Naxxramas is an outdated raid, and today it can be cleared solo at max level. No special access requirements are needed to enter: just fly to the raid and clear it up to Kel'Thuzad. Since the farm is weekly, if you have bad luck with the drop, it makes sense to visit the boss once a week.
Alternatives
This model has no widely known color variants. Based on the silhouette of a massive two-handed mace with a similar head, you can pick a replacement among other classic-era weapons.

If this heavy "knightly" silhouette is exactly what matters to you, look for similar two-handed maces among the loot of classic raids from the same period — many of them are crafted in a unified visual style.
Who It Suits Visually
- Suits death knight and paladin looks in heavy plate armor.
- The massive shape pairs well with sets in a silvery-steel and dark palette.
- Fitting for "Lordaeron" concepts and looks that reference House Menethil and the fall of Arthas.
- It contrasts with light armor — on characters in cloth or leather it looks deliberately bulky, which is sometimes played up on purpose.
Tips
Go into Naxxramas solo at max level — the raid is long outdated and poses no challenge.
Kel'Thuzad is at the end of the raid, so set aside time to clear all wings before him.
The appearance drop is not guaranteed, so if you fail, return to the boss the following week.
The fastest classes for farming are those with high mobility and survivability, so you can reach the final boss without delays.
Take the appearance on the character who needs it: the item binds on pickup and cannot be transferred between characters.
Along with the mace, many other classic appearances drop from Naxxramas bosses — it makes sense to collect them in a single run.
