Nat Pagle's Fish Terminator is an epic two-handed staff hailing from classic Zul'Gurub. Despite the menacing name, it is a joke item: the staff is styled like a giant fishing rod, and the engraving on it reads "Fishing is for the weak. — Nat Pagle." That said, statwise it is a fully fledged melee weapon with decent damage and bonuses, which is why it was historically prized by feral druids and some shamans.

The staff earns its spot in the appearance collection thanks to its unique model and the story tied to it. This is not a serious "combat" transmog but an item with character — a nod to Azeroth's most famous angler, the master of the rod, Nat Pagle. Players pick this staff for the irony: a grim warrior or druid wielding a giant fishing rod looks instantly recognizable and funny.

The staff drops from the rare boss Gahz'ranka — a giant hydra dwelling in the murky waters of the Zul'Gurub dungeon. The drop chance is estimated at around 3%, so be ready for several attempts.

The main quirk is that Gahz'ranka cannot simply be found and killed — it has to be summoned through a fishing chain:

• Find the battered tackle box on Pagle's Point in Zul'Gurub and pick up the quest Nat's Measuring Tape from it.
• Bring the tape to Nat Pagle in Dustwallow Marsh and complete the quest.
• After that, Nat will start selling the Mudskunk Lure — the bait for the summon.
• Catch Zulian Mudskunk right in the waters of Zul'Gurub; this requires a Fishing skill of 300 or higher.
• Load the lure with five mudskunks and cast it into the murky waters at Pagle's Point to call forth Gahz'ranka.

For gathering the fish and summoning in a group, you absolutely need a character with leveled Fishing. The fight against the hydra itself is easy by modern standards; the main obstacle is the summoning ritual and the drop chance.

• It suits druids in cat or bear form: the weapon in hand is not displayed but still counts in the set, which is handy for joke "fishing" outfits.
• It pairs well with leatherworker garb and angler-style attire — for example, simple cloth and leather sets in earthy tones.
• It contrasts with heavy battle armor: a giant fishing rod next to plate creates a deliberately absurd and memorable look.
• It fits thematic outfits for pranks, staged screenshots, and roleplay scenes by the water.
