Staff of Immaculate Recovery is an epic two-handed staff added to World of Warcraft in The Burning Crusade expansion. It is a classic healing weapon focused on intellect and stamina, intended for healers and casters of every staff-wielding class.
Visually it is an elongated staff with a pale crown: the shaft ends in a curved crystalline finial in a cool hue that reads well against dark plate and leather sets. The calm, "priestly" palette makes the look comfortable for healer outfits — without aggressive spikes or flame, unlike most trophies from the Black Temple.
It is precisely because of this clean, understated silhouette that transmog collectors prize the staff: the look suits light cloth sets and never pulls attention onto itself.
The staff drops from the boss Gurtogg Bloodboil — one of the mini-bosses of the Black Temple raid in Outland. This is a classic raid from The Burning Crusade era.
The Black Temple is located in the Shadowmoon Valley zone in Outland. You can reach it through the portal to Outland and then on to the gates of Illidan's citadel. Since the content is long outdated, no quest attunements or reputation are required for entry anymore.
Before heading in, remove durability-tracked gear: the level 90 solo raid farm goes quickly, and unnecessary repairs serve no purpose.
It is optimal to farm the look during the Timewalking week for the Black Temple — this lets you bypass the weekly raid lock and gain an extra chance at the same model.
On highly mobile classes such as the paladin, clearing the raid up to Gurtogg Bloodboil goes noticeably faster.
Remember that the look unlocks in the wardrobe account-wide — you do not need to obtain it again on other characters.
A chance of about 15 percent means a few runs are usually enough on average, but if luck is poor, plan for several weeks of farming.
This is a two-handed weapon, so in transmog it occupies both weapon slots — there is no need to pair it with another item.
