Talont

Talont is an epic ground mount added in patch 10.2 of the Dragonflight expansion. It is a translucent green dreamtalon — a creature born from the dreams of the Emerald Dream. The mount is purchased from Elianna at the Central Encampment in the Emerald Dream for 1 Dream Infusion. To buy it, you must already own at least one dreamtalon of another color.

The in-game description reads: "Some dreams are full of wondrous possibilities, but crumble when confronted with the limits of reality. Other dreams are unburdened by such weight — even when carrying a rider." Talont looks like a ghostly predator glowing with emerald light — a hybrid of cat and raptor with distinctive claws and a graceful bearing.

• Quick to obtain — with alts and the right approach to farming Dream Energy, a Dream Infusion can be earned in one to two hours of active play

To buy Talont you must meet three conditions: reach Renown level 5 with the Dream Wardens, already own at least one dreamtalon, and gather 1 Dream Infusion.

1. Reach Renown level 5 with the Dream Wardens faction. This unlocks access to the Dream Infusion system (the "Attuned to Nature" perk)
2. Speak with Elianna at the Central Encampment in the Emerald Dream and complete the quest "Emerald Awakening" — this unlocks the Dream Energy system
3. Obtain at least one dreamtalon — Ochre, Snowy, or Spring
4. Gather 7,000 points of Dream Energy by completing activities in the Emerald Dream (more below)
5. Trade the filled Dream Energy bar for 1 Dream Infusion with Elianna
6. Buy Talont for 1 Dream Infusion from that same Elianna

Talont cannot be bought if your collection has no dreamtalon at all. Here are three ways to get a basic dreamtalon.

Ochre Dreamtalon (quest chain, ~23 days)

The most reliable but slowest path. Find the Smoldering Sprout at coordinates 48.6, 67.8 in the Emerald Dream (south of Amirdrassil). Interact with it twice — extinguish the flames and cleanse the sprout. This starts the quest "A Little Water...", which sends you to Professor Ash in Amirdrassil.

This is followed by a chain of five quests with pauses between them. The sprout's growth bar fills by one fifth each day. The total waiting time between quests is 23 days. The final quest "A Drop of Hope Is Never Wasted" rewards the Reins of the Ochre Dreamtalon.

Snowy Dreamtalon (1 Seedbloom or Bounty of the Emerald Dream)

The Snowy Dreamtalon can be bought for 1 Seedbloom from Talisza Whisperbloom at the Central Encampment. A Seedbloom is awarded by the weekly quest "Blooming Dreamseeds" (once per week per character). Alternatively, the mount can drop from the Bounty of the Emerald Dream when planting a giant (purple) seed.

Spring Dreamtalon (1 Seedbloom or Bounty of the Emerald Dream)

The Spring Dreamtalon is obtained the same way — for 1 Seedbloom from Talisza or from the Bounty when planting a giant seed. Renown level 18 with the Dream Wardens is required to buy it from the vendor.

Dream Energy is a hidden resource that accumulates as you complete activities in the Emerald Dream. To earn one Dream Infusion you need 7,000 points (100% of the bar). The bar appears in your interface after talking to Elianna.

Sources of Dream Energy

Optimal Farming Order

1. Story quests — if you have not yet completed the main Emerald Dream campaign, start with it. It gives ~29% of the bar in a single run
2. Side quests — complete every available side quest in the zone; together they give ~49% of the bar
3. Weekly quest — complete the quest "A Worthy Ally" (~14% of the bar)
4. World quests — finish off the remaining percentage with elite and regular world quests

If you complete all quests on a fresh character, a Dream Infusion can be earned in 1-2 hours of active play.

Talisza Whisperbloom (Seedbloom vendor)

The Emerald Dream is a zone added in patch 10.2 of Dragonflight. To access it you must complete an introductory quest chain.

First Visit

1. Make sure your character has reached level 70
2. Pick up the starting quest of the patch 10.2 campaign from Meritra in Valdrakken
3. Follow the chain — it will lead you into the Emerald Dream through a portal near Amirdrassil
4. After completing the introductory quests, the Central Encampment with its vendors opens up

Quick Access (after unlocking)

After your first visit, a permanent portal appears:

1. Open the Dragon Isles map
2. Use the flight point to the Emerald Dream
3. Alternatively, the portal in Valdrakken leads directly into the zone
