Legacy Points

Legacy Points are the account-wide progression currency in World of Warcraft: Forever. They pile up not on a single character but across your whole account: almost every achievement on the list is flagged as “Account-wide.”

Beta data already shows 65 points that will be earnable. That said, at launch you will be able to spend no more than 16 — the system only unlocks fully later on.

Below are all the known sources of points, grouped by theme.

Three dungeon tiers, each worth 1 point. The lists are fixed: you must clear everything listed.

Novice Spelunker

Ragefire Chasm or the Hall of the Thanes, Wailing Caverns, Shadowfang Keep, Ruins of Lordaeron, The Deadmines, Excavation: The Mire.

Experienced Spelunker

Dalaran, Gnomeregan, Scarlet Monastery (Graveyard, Armory, Library, Cathedral), Razorfen Kraul, Blackfathom Deeps, the Sunken City, Krol'dok Keep.

Skilled Spelunker

Razorfen Downs, Zul'Farrak, Alcaz Prison, Blackrock Depths, Lower and Upper Blackrock Spire, Scholomance, Stratholme (dead and living), Dire Maul (North, East, West), the Terrace of the Makers, Uldaman, Maraudon, the Temple of Atal'Hakkar, the Blackgut Stronghold.

Conqueror of the Lair

Defeat Onyxia.

Conqueror of the Woods

Defeat everyone on Mount Hyjal: Bandalar, the Battalion Lost in Time, the Old Misty Lurker, Kathris the Possessed, Elder Minderel, the Council of Thorns, the Wild King, the Rotting Tree, Sylvestra Dusksong, Garalis the Abyssal, Anara Coldwind, Pathfinder Calm, Niphy Dreamedge.

Conqueror of the Depths

Defeat everyone in the Abode: Matriarch Deepscar, Khalit the Dreadweaver, Ametrax, Ravius and Darlissa, Elder Thicketclaw, the Font of Sorrow, Del'linar the Singing Tree, Sonya Sacred Dark.

Laying Lord Valthalak to Rest

Complete the quest chain from “A Serious Proposal” to “Save the Sweet for Last.” This is the very same long chain that upgrades the dungeon set to version 0.5, ending in a fight against the summoned Lord Valthalak.

Points are awarded not for every rank, but for five checkpoint tiers of the honor system. 1 point each.

• Rank 3 — the title “Sergeant”
• Rank 7 — “Knight-Lieutenant” or “Blood Guard”
• Rank 10 — “Lieutenant Commander” or “Champion”
• Rank 13 — “Field Marshal” or “Warlord”
• Rank 14 — “Grand Marshal” or “High Warlord”

In the data the same achievements also appear under the names Rank 3, Rank 7, Rank 10, Rank 13, and Rank 14 — these are duplicates of the same condition.

Exalted with a faction on your side — 1 point per battleground.

• Master of Alterac Valley — Frostwolf Clan or Stormpike Guard
• Master of Arathi Basin — The Defilers or League of Arathor
• Master of Warsong Gulch — Warsong Outriders or Silverwing Sentinels
• Lord of the Blackspear Isles — Blackspear Raiders or the Theramore Expeditionary Force

A seasonal quest chain marks three milestones, 1 point each.

• Fields of Glory: Week 4
• Fields of Glory: Week 7
• Fields of Glory: Week 10

• Explorer — have a character on your account with the achievement Explore Azeroth

Explore Azeroth itself grants no points: it is a composite achievement made of Explore the Eastern Kingdoms and Explore Kalimdor, and you must reveal every zone on a single character. The point is granted by the account-wide Explorer instead.

The dump contains a closed-off part of the list. Their rewards are not set in the data, so it is too early to count these achievements as a source of points.

• Hidden: Rank 1 — Hidden: Rank 14: the full set of fourteen PvP titles, not just the five open tiers. It looks like the game tracks every rank but awards points selectively.
• Hidden: Excellent Gear (Tier 1) — tied to six quests that have neither names nor descriptions yet.
• Nine achievements of the form Hidden: BETA Survey — Level 30, one per class. This is service markup for the beta survey and will almost certainly not make it into release.
