WoW Midnight Jewelcrafting Guide — Leveling & Recipes

Jewelcrafters make rings, amulets, cut gems, profession accessories, and reagents. You can specialize in gear orders, high-volume gem cutting, ore prospecting, or materials for other crafters.

Prospecting turns ore into raw gems, while shattering gems yields Glimmering Gemdust. Mining supplies raw materials, but buying ore from the Auction House can increase your output compared with gathering it yourself. Compare the cost of an ore batch with the expected gem yield, including rare results.

Trainer Amin is in Silvermoon City. Learn the base profession if you have not already, then learn the Midnight version.

Midnight reagents and consumables now have two quality ranks. Weapons, armor, and profession gear retain five ranks. Your Skill, material quality, equipment, and specializations determine the crafted item's quality; Concentration helps you reach the next quality threshold and regenerates over time.

• Resourcefulness can save some of the reagents required.
• Multicraft can produce extra items when crafting eligible consumables and materials. It does not create extra copies of a single sword, ring, or chest piece.
• Ingenuity can restore spent Concentration.
• Crafting Speed reduces crafting time but does not improve quality on its own.

Before placing an order, check the recipe, quality, optional reagents, and whether you have unlocked the required branch. Embellished gear counts toward the per-character limit of two embellished items. The item level also depends on seasonal reagents, so check the result in the order window.

The four trees unlock at profession skill levels 25, 50, 60, and 75. You can eventually learn every path, but early Knowledge Points are better spent on a specific goal.

For crafting orders, choose rings, amulets, or profession accessories. For gem cutting, start with one gem family and a specific stat combination. Invest in general bonuses after unlocking the recipe you need: spreading Knowledge Points across every color will delay high-quality crafts.

Thoughtful Throughput

This tree grants bonuses to both Crafting Speed and Concentration. Outrageous Output improves Multicraft, Calculated Concentration improves Ingenuity, and Skilled Savings improves Resourcefulness. For single-item crafts such as rings and amulets, Skill remains the priority; for consumables crafted in batches, resource savings and extra output also matter.

Glamorous Gems

This is the main gem-cutting tree. Powerful Peridot, Lustrous Lapis, Austere Amethyst, and Glorious Garnet focus on their respective gem families. Inner branches unlock specific stat combinations. Eversong Diamonds benefit from the tree’s central node; you do not need to fully develop all four standard gem families.

Alluring Accessories

This tree focuses on crafting gear. Regal Rings unlock and improve rings, Luxurious Lockets unlock amulets, and Crafting Couture unlocks profession accessories. Invest in one equipment slot until you can guarantee the desired quality in a Crafting Order, then move on to the next.

Proficient Processor

This tree covers processing ore and gems, as well as crafting reagents. Choose a path for the operation you actually use: prospecting, shattering, or material production. For large batches, calculate the total processing cost. If your Skill is already high enough to process materials at the required quality, save Concentration for an expensive finished item.

Use one tool and two accessories. Rare- and Epic-quality profession gear grants the same Skill bonus, but Epic gear has higher secondary stats. For Bind-on-Pickup items, place a Crafting Order and provide the required reagents.

The tables list each item, its required Skill, and its recipe source. Meeting the Skill requirement does not automatically teach you the recipe.

One-Time Sources

• The first craft of an eligible recipe grants a Knowledge Point if the profession journal lists that reward. Crafting the same recipe again does not grant the bonus again.
• Eight treasures grant 24 points. The map route is below.
• Skill Issue: Jewelcrafting grants 10 Knowledge Points and requires 25 Skill. The book unlocks at Renown 6 with the Court of Silvermoon. You will need Artisan Jewelcrafter's Moxie to buy it.

To complete the weekly quest, you must fulfill 3 Crafting Orders. Patron Orders may also offer extra rewards; which ones are available depends on the specific set of orders. If the weekly quest is unavailable, check whether you have completed the introductory Crafters Needed quest from Captain Flaresworn.

You can place a Crafting Order for the Treatise with an Inscriptionist. The weekly limit applies to using the Treatise: carrying several in your bags does not let you claim more than one weekly reward in the same week.

Darkmoon Faire and Catch-Up

During the Darkmoon Faire, the profession quest grants 3 Knowledge Points and 2 Skill points. This opportunity is available once a month.

Flicker of Midnight Jewelcrafting Knowledge grants 1 Knowledge Point as a catch-up reward. It can appear among Patron Order rewards while your character has catch-up points remaining. Catch-up rewards are capped, so this is not an unlimited source of Knowledge Points.

Each of the eight treasures grants 3 Knowledge Points, for a total of 24. You can collect each one after learning Midnight Jewelcrafting, but they do not reset weekly or become available again if you relearn the profession. The coordinates below can be copied into TomTom.
